A toilet should be regularly cleaned, brushed and flossed. Leaving it pearly white. Toilets are used daily, so it must always be kept hygienic.

The basics of cleaning a toilet are commonly known, obviously required is a sanitising spray and wipe to remove germs, a toilet bowl cleaner such as Toilet Duck and a bowl brush, a set of disposable clothes for cleaning and another set for finishing. We professionals also know that to truly deliver a sparkling toilet you also need:
• Selection of brushes. Most toilets we’ve found to have a surprising amount of little edges and grooves which can collect undesirable grime. A robust brush similar in size to your tooth brush works well for detailed cleaning of these edges and grooves. A larger toilet brush is still required for the bowl.
• Paper wipes. We find that thin paper wipes are the best suited for flossing gaps. Just like your teeth, there are gaps that benefit from a good flossing, especially around the hinge area of the seat and toilet lid which acts as a trap for further undesirable grime.
• Scale remover. We use a scale removal product for removing water spots, calcium and scale deposits. Often a toilet can be well cleaned, only to dry leaving a blotchy finish. This is caused by water spots, calcium and scale residue (these elements are found within domestic water supply). Most common spray and wipe detergents will not remove such deposits.

Here are few tips to declutter your life

Living life 100 miles an hour, we sometimes lose focus on the important things and are often bogged down by mundane and non-essential activities we could do without.

Here are a few tips to declutter your life.

1. Take a step back
Every month or so it pays to step back and look at what’s taking up most of your precious time.
Questions such as: is this essential? Do I enjoy it? Where would I prefer to spend my time?
Asking yourself these questions will provide you insight to what needs to be improved removed or refined.

2. Remove or Delegate
This can be quite tricky as it may mean saying no to friends or colleagues or passing tasks over to another. This would a require a bit of finesse and firmness to achieving this in a way all parties are accepting of the change.

3. Two birds with one stone: Combine activities
Simply combining tasks in an efficient order will dramatically free up time.
Schedule all shopping or errands into one trip. doing my food prep for the following week in one day, and so forth. It’s best to stay focused and stick to task at hand.

4. Eliminate the noise
Distractions, could be the difference between a task taking one hour or three.
Reconfigure or uninstall social media apps, get up earlier, only check your email at certain times, don’t read a text until you have the bandwidth to.

5. To Be Confirmed
Don’t be so quick to say yes to new plans or activities. Rather try “Can I get back to you” and give yourself a bit of time to assess the opportunity cost of accepting.

6. Do Nothing Days

DIY interior clean

A professional interior car clean can be quite costly but doing it yourself can be inexpensive and simple. You probably have the tools and materials required to get back that inside freshness and shine.

• Vacuum Cleaner. A vacuum cleaner with all its accessories is ideal.
• Cleaning Products. Keeping it simple I would go with a eco multipurpose spray. Warm Water and Furniture Polish.
• Cloths and Polishing Materials. You need a range of towels and rags, microfiber cloths and paper towels.

Floor Mats
Remove the floor mats and vigorously shake the dirt loose.
If a good shake is not enough, try loosening grime with a stiff brush. Clean between the grooves with your vacuum cleaners hose nozzle.

Seats
Start off with a thorough vacuuming to get as much dirt off the seats before applying any cleaning chemicals.

Leather

As a rule of thumb, we usually recommend that you apply chemicals to your cloth and rub onto leather to avoid any excess damage which can come from applying too much leather polish. Dry the seats with a microfiber cloth.

Vinyl

With vinyl, clean-up can be quick and easy. Many products that you may already have will work fine. Even some brands of glass cleaner do a good job.

Cloth

When dealing with cloth seat, use liquid cleaning products to a minimum, to avoid dampness and the car smelling musty.

Windows and Mirrors
A glass cleaner and a paper towels or even newspapers can work wonders when cleaning glass surfaces.

Front Panel
The front panel is the area that we see most. Unfortunately, thanks to all the knobs, switches, vents, and dusty nooks and crannies, it can seem difficult to clean – but not if you have the right tools.

Dashboard & Console
Vacuum all the dust before you apply a cleaning product, making sure to reach as far as possible during the entire process.

If you’re like me, a thrifty spender but fussy when it comes to cleaning.

I’m a firm believer and practitioner of the theory of bottom up. With cleaning products when comparing the cheaper alternatives from the more prominent brands, often there could be a price difference of sometimes $5.00 which over a year could save you 60 odd dollars. Multiply that by a several different products such as dish washing liquid, washing powder, multipurpose sprays, degreasers etc, you could be spending an extra $200 a year on the bigger brands.

Now for some, you might be perfectly happy with your Mr Clean spray. But what’s not to say you can achieve the same result with a cheaper alternative.

For many people it’s quite embarrassing to see how much cooking grease ends up high in your kitchen. Cooking causes significant amounts of moisture, and heat rises taking those cooking greases up to be deposited in areas where most of us infrequently clean or struggle to reach.

Here are a couple great suggestions:

· Don’t use the tops of cabinets for storage, as these items will end up with a film of sticky filth.

· Broad baking paper, fixed in place above cabinets with a little Blue-Tak so that its hidden from view provides a great sacrificial layer that can readily be thrown out regularly.

· Long handle mops are not only great for floors, but can also be successfully employed to reach high areas too.

· If designing or renovating, consider extending cabinets facades up to the ceiling so that there aren’t flat high areas for the grease to settle on.

New clients often complain to us about struggles to keep their shower glass free from scale and water marks in particular. Sometimes once these glass doors are too far gone they can only be remedied through replacement.

These issues are caused through leaving surfaces wet. No water residue, no problem.

Keep a towel and a glass scraper by your shower. After every shower completely dry your shower box. For a minute spent daily after each shower, at the end of the week you’ll find that there aren’t any issues with scale, water marks or mould and mildew.

Calcium and scale residue deposits come from the domestic water supply. Mildew grows from leaving areas wet with moisture. Both of these issues are resolved by keeping the shower dry.

5 Tips to minimize the fur

Embrace your pet grooming chores daily – it pays dividends in reduced cleaning hours. Give your fury loved ones a quick once over outside every day. You will certainly notice a difference in your home.
Use an electrostatic or microfiber dry mop on hardwood, tiled or laminate floors. Straight vacuuming will simply blow hair around.
Damp mopping – works well on tile floors. But don’t over wet your floors when mopping as wet hairs will be left behind. Wet floors cannot be followed up by a vacuum without missing wet hairs that have stuck to the floor.
A triple action vacuum head is best for taking fur from carpets. If your vacuum doesn’t have a triple action head then use a rubber broom, followed by vacuum – Rubber brooms work well to scrap the hair off the carpet into a ball. Then the following vacuum should be done in alternating directions to target stubborn hairs.
To clean pet fur off furniture & upholstery without a triple action vacuum head - use damp rubber gloves and rub over in one direction. Watch the hair come off in one ball, rinse off

If you regularly clean your oven from when it’s new, these domestic cleaners may maintain it in good order. If your oven is already too far gone however you’ll be needing something better than a domestic grade oven cleaner.

Some of the better commercial oven cleaning products will do great job but can be extremely corrosive, causing chemical burns to skin or damage to lungs if fumes were inhaled. They may also bleach colour. Most of these are classed as too dangerous to be sold through regular retail outlets. If you do use these commercial oven cleaning products always use extreme caution and carefully follow the instructions and safety precautions. Alternatively, you can also get a good result cleaning the oven with baking soda and vinegar. It does just need a little more elbow grease! Make a paste of baking soda and water and spread the mixture over the entire oven, oven door and glass. Leave for at least 30mins, then start putting in some of that elbow grease! Spray a bit of vinegar on those stubborn areas.

Check your oven user manual, you may be able to place aluminium foil on the bottom of your oven to catch any drips and spills – streamlining your next oven clean!
